Project Associate – Climate Adaptation Project

About the role

The Project Associate will support a four‑year climate‑adaptation initiative in Moldova aimed at strengthening hydro‑meteorological monitoring, early‑warning systems and integrated water‑resources management across five key watersheds. The role contributes to safeguarding rural populations from flood risk, improving the safety of dams and weirs, and building institutional capacities of national and local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the efficient delivery of the joint project, ensuring that defined outcomes and outputs are achieved on schedule.
• Undertake administrative, logistical, travel, procurement, financial and asset‑management tasks in full compliance with UNDP rules, regulations and policies.
• Provide support to procure goods and services required by the project, coordinating with relevant staff and partners.
• Support the development and implementation of monitoring networks, flood‑forecasting tools and early‑warning mechanisms.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, documentation and knowledge‑sharing materials for national and local stakeholders.
