Data Scientist

About the role

As a Data Scientist in Arrive’s Data Science Products team, you will develop and improve production‑grade machine learning models that power parking availability predictions and EV‑charging routing for millions of drivers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new data‑science products by analysing new data sources, researching, implementing and testing modelling approaches.
• Enhance existing production models through iterative development, rigorous experimentation and performance optimisation.
• Write high‑quality, production‑ready code and contribute to the data pipelines and deployment processes alongside engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience building statistical or machine‑learning products in a commercial setting.
• Strong mathematical background, especially in probability theory, typically demonstrated by an MSc or a highly mathematical undergraduate degree.
• Ability to tackle complex, ambiguous problems with creative, rigorous solutions.

Required skills

• Python programming with proficiency in Pandas, Numpy and Scikit‑Learn.
• Experience with statistical and machine‑learning techniques and good software‑engineering practices.
• Knowledge of GIS/geospatial data handling (e.g., GeoPandas) – nice to have.
• Familiarity with big‑data tools such as PySpark and cloud environments like AWS – nice to have.
