PHP Laravel Full Stack Developer with jQuery and JavaScript

About the role

AirAdvisor is looking for a highly skilled PHP Laravel Full‑Stack Developer to join its remote‑first team. You will work on legal‑tech and travel‑tech solutions that help air passengers claim compensation for flight disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Integrate frontend components with Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS, jQuery and JavaScript.
• Optimize MySQL databases for high‑load environments, including query tuning and indexing.
• Implement caching and messaging solutions with Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ (or similar).
• Maintain and improve legacy PHP codebases and participate in migration projects to modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design and launch new service features.
• Produce technical documentation and train team members on best practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in PHP development and at least one PHP framework, preferably Laravel.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap or Tailwind, and jQuery.
• Proven ability to work with high‑traffic MySQL databases and optimize performance.
• Experience with caching and messaging tools such as Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Comfortable improving legacy PHP code without frameworks and migrating to modern stacks.
• Excellent English communication skills.
