Helpdesk Engineer

About the role

Join Gilat’s Global Technology & Infrastructure group as a Helpdesk Engineer, providing first‑line IT support to employees across Israel, Europe, Latin America and Asia. You will work in a shift‑based environment from the Chişinău office, paired with a senior System Administrator for mentorship and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Handle requests and incidents in SysAid via email and phone, from first response to resolution within SLA.
• Onboard and offboard employees – manage Microsoft 365 accounts, licenses, groups, permissions, devices and equipment returns.
• Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and guest access for external partners.
• Manage users, security groups and file‑share permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including SSO application setup.
• Deploy and maintain Windows laptops, software, patches and BitLocker encryption using SCCM, Intune and Automox.
• Provide remote support with TeamViewer and coordinate on‑site vendor work when needed.
• Handle security tools (Netskope/Island web filtering, Portnox NAC, CrowdStrike EDR) and triage alerts from the SOC.
• Run routine operational checks such as Commvault backup restores and PRTG monitoring.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of IT support or Helpdesk experience with a ticketing system.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and availability for rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and service‑oriented communication.
