Payroll Coordinator – EMEA

About the role

The Payroll Coordinator will oversee the full employment lifecycle for workers across the EMEA region, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for Safeguard Global’s clients. You will act as the main point of contact for worker queries, manage contract changes, and support invoicing and funding processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employment contract changes, including salary adjustments and benefits.
• Maintain and store worker documentation in line with in‑country compliance.
• Respond to queries from workers, internal teams, and clients in a timely manner.
• Process compliant off‑boarding for indefinite and fixed‑term contracts.
• Coordinate background checks and ensure completion before first payroll.
• Accurately process payroll payments and investigate any discrepancies.
• Review and approve payroll reports against client input and internal data.
• Maintain KPIs, internal reporting, payroll schedules, and master payroll inputs.
• Collaborate with clients to capture and relay in‑country requirements throughout the worker lifecycle.
• Handle funding and billing processes, complete charging sheets, and generate sales invoices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in HR, finance or customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Familiarity with payroll concepts and local payroll legislation for supported countries.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and work proactively.
