EDI Growth Specialist

About the role

Alvys builds a supply chain operating system for carriers, brokers and hybrid operators, combining industry experience with a technical team from Wonder, Jet and ServiceTitan. As an EDI Growth Specialist you own EDI integrations from kickoff through go-live, working directly with customers and their trading partners (shippers, 3PLs, VANs and payment processors) to gather requirements, build mappings, set up connectivity and run testing until each integration is certified and live.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with trading partners and customers for every integration, gather requirements such as spec guides, sample files, ISA/GS identifiers, connection details and transaction sets, and follow up on open items
• Build and maintain decoder and encoder mappings between X12 transactions (204, 990, 214, 210, 997) and the Alvys platform, interpreting spec guides and sample files and applying mapping templates and standards
• Set up and troubleshoot AS2, SFTP and VAN connections, configure integration profiles and handle test versus production environments
• Run end-to-end testing across the full transaction cycle (inbound tender, 990 response, 214 status, 210 invoicing), exchange test files, interpret 997 rejections and validate against real workflows before confirming production readiness
• Manage several concurrent integrations, keep tickets and due dates accurate, document mapping logic and quirks, and hand off completed integrations to Support
• Contribute to improving the onboarding process, testing standards and internal best practices

Required profile

• 2-4 years of hands-on EDI experience; X12 transaction sets (204, 214, 990, 210, 997) strongly preferred
• Background in transportation and logistics, ideally with a carrier, broker, 3PL or TMS provider
• Hands-on experience with data mapping between systems and formats
• Excellent written communication with external enterprise partners and proven ability to manage multiple projects at once

Required skills

• EDI connectivity (AS2 and/or SFTP); VAN familiarity is a plus
• Proficiency reading and manipulating JSON and working with APIs
• Troubleshooting from raw files, logs and data
• Basic SQL is a plus
