Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java) – Fintech Payment Platform

About the role

Dev.Pro, a US-based outsourced software development company, is hiring a Test Automation Engineer to join its remote-first global team. The role supports a major fintech client scaling a mission-critical payment orchestration platform, driving quality and reliability of a high-volume, high-performance system through automated testing and QA best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Drive stories to completion, including automated testing and documentation
• Create, enhance and maintain test automation frameworks
• Define and run automated tests with Cucumber and Java
• Test microservices and backend components for performance and reliability
• Validate REST APIs, web services, XML/JSON data and SQL interactions
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery
• Apply secure development practices and compliance standards in testing
• Take part in Scrum/Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Mentor team members on quality guidelines and best practices
• Support stakeholders in decision-making and QA strategy, and evaluate new testing tools and techniques

Required profile

• 4+ years of QA automation experience, including building and maintaining test automation frameworks
• Strong experience with Cucumber and Java
• Experience testing microservices and backend components
• Knowledge of REST, web services, XML, JSON, SQL, Tomcat and Linux
• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins or similar)
• Understanding of secure development, functional, integration and regression testing, and Agile/Scrum
• Ability to mentor others and strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Upper-intermediate+ English; desirable: CS degree, payments/FinTech background, performance testing experience
