Registered Ultrasound Technologist

About the role

The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established regulations, policies, and safety standards. The role supports a specialized medical team by preparing patients, conducting biopsies, and ensuring high‑quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and diagnostic ultrasound examinations, adhering to quality and time‑frame standards.
• Assist physicians with biopsies of various organs and prepare patients for specific procedures.
• Obtain clinical data, schedule patients, and record significant findings.
• Conduct daily calibration and maintenance checks on ultrasound and peripheral equipment.
• Maintain daily activity logs, compile data, and generate monthly reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• Successful completion of a one‑year Ultrasound Technology program.
• CPR certification.
• RDMS certification in Physics, Abdomen‑Pelvis, and OB‑GYN (additional registry in OB/GYN, neonatal hands, or vascular preferred).
• ARRT Maryland license preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of ultrasound imaging equipment.
• Calibration and maintenance of ultrasound and peripheral devices.
• Performance of routine radiographic procedures.
• Computer data entry for sonographic records while maintaining confidentiality.
