Registered Ultrasound Technologist

About the role

The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established regulations, policies, and safety standards. This role supports a specialized medical team, assisting with biopsies and preparing patients for physician‑requested procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Obtain and verify clinical data, schedule patients, and record pertinent findings.
• Perform daily calibration and maintenance of ultrasound and peripheral equipment.
• Maintain logs, compile data, and generate monthly reports as required.
• Report equipment, staffing, and productivity issues to the practice manager and physician.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and confidentiality policies in the work area.

Required profile

• Successful completion of a one‑year Ultrasound Technology program.
• CPR certification.
• RDMS certification in Physics, Abdomen‑Pelvis, and OB‑GYN; additional registry in OB‑GYN, neonatal hands, or vascular preferred.
• ARRT Maryland license preferred.
• Ability to work with patients safely, including exposure to blood‑borne pathogens.
