Product Engineer - AI Agents & Lending

About the role

Float is hiring a Product Engineer in Chisinau, working on-site or hybrid. You join as a full, standing team member, not a contractor, and take part in all regular team rituals and share the same roadmap. There is no separate product team, so you own each story from clarification to production.

Key responsibilities

• Ship roadmap items across lending, banking and the financial data pipeline, including third-party integrations, backend and data work, and UI improvements in the customer app.
• Own what agents ship: agents write the code and you are accountable for everything they push into the codebase, without reviewing it line by line.
• Contribute to the tests, checks and verification harness that ensure agents produce correct, production-ready code, and fix gaps when something slips through.

Required profile

• Roughly four or more years building and running web products in production in product companies; six or more for senior candidates.
• Daily use of coding agents, with concrete examples of how you direct them and check their output.
• Proportional caution on sensitive areas such as money, credit and customer data, and fast and light elsewhere.
• Self-directed ownership, with a track record of taking features from idea to production without close direction.
• Fast learning of new tools, domains and ways of working.
• Good written and spoken English for daily work with Stockholm.

Required skills

• Stack: React, TypeScript, Python (Django), Node.js and PostgreSQL on Google Cloud Platform, with BigQuery and Dataform for data and Claude Code for development.
• Nice to have: experience with lending, banking, payments, ledgers or accounting systems; Google Cloud or BigQuery.
