Data Analytics and Automation Specialist (Mid-Level)

About the role

The company is looking for a Data Analytics and Automation Specialist to design reliable reports, build analytical solutions, and streamline repetitive processes through automation. The role combines strong SQL and database expertise with a focus on workflow automation, RPA, and practical AI use cases. You will work independently on well‑scoped tasks while collaborating closely with business and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and clarify reporting requirements, define filters, refresh schedules, and expected outputs with stakeholders.
• Design, build, maintain, and improve operational and management dashboards, datasets, and analytical queries.
• Write, optimise, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries across relational databases.
• Validate report figures against source systems, investigate discrepancies, and document findings.
• Map business workflows, identify repetitive steps, and contribute to RPA or workflow automation solutions.
• Develop or adjust scripts and automation components, documenting and monitoring their performance.
• Explore AI‑assisted solutions for specific analysis or workflow tasks, assess output quality, and implement approved use cases.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and system owners to resolve reporting or automation issues.

Required profile

• Ability to translate business questions into datasets, metrics, reports, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting SQL queries independently.
• Experience investigating data discrepancies and communicating findings to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with structured delivery, documentation, version control, and cross‑team collaboration.
• Interest in process automation and responsible, practical use of AI tools.

Required skills

• SQL (complex joins, CTEs, aggregations, PL/SQL or comparable procedural SQL).
• Relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Enterprise BI/reporting platforms (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects or similar).
• Scripting language Python for data processing or automation.
• Exposure to RPA platforms, workflow automation, APIs, or integrations.
• Familiarity with AI tools or APIs for analysis and automation.
• Version‑control and collaboration tools such as Jira and Git.
