Senior Vice President of Product

About the role

Toptal is seeking a Senior Vice President of Product to define the future direction of its platforms and talent marketplace. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the executive team, you will own the product vision, especially around AI‑driven experiences, and lead rapid execution across the entire product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the product roadmap, with AI as the core strategic pillar.
• Write specifications, prototype AI agents, and validate concepts before budgeting.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, Professional Services, and Customer teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Lead product reviews, set product standards, and ensure fast‑paced delivery.
• Own hiring for the product organization, establishing high‑bar talent criteria and filling roles urgently.
• Integrate acquisitions and new products into the existing portfolio.
• Partner with growth and marketing to shape go‑to‑market strategies.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience leading product organizations in a technology‑focused company.
• Deep expertise in AI model fine‑tuning, post‑training, agent design, evaluation, and production economics.
• Hands‑on mindset: comfortable writing specs, pulling data, and building rough prototypes.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with senior leaders and drive consensus.
• Passion for recruiting and developing A‑players in product roles.
