Programme Analyst (N-PPSA9)

About the role

UN Women Moldova is seeking a Programme Analyst (N-PPSA9) to support the design, implementation and evaluation of programmes that promote women’s leadership, gender‑sensitive governance and budgets. Reporting to the Programme Specialist, the analyst will work closely with the programme and operations teams, UN Women headquarters, government officials and development partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical input to the development of programme strategies and project proposals in the areas of women’s leadership and gender‑sensitive governance.
• Support the implementation and management of programmes, monitoring results and ensuring compliance with UN Women systems and procedures.
• Contribute to the annual workplan and assist in identifying priority interventions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in public policy, gender studies, international development or a related field.
• Experience in programme design, monitoring and evaluation within an international or UN context.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with gender‑responsive programming.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UN Women strategic frameworks and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
• Ability to prepare substantive technical inputs for proposals and workplans.
• Proficiency in reporting and data management tools used by UN agencies.
