Transport and Logistics Assistant (G4)

About the role

The Transport and Logistics Assistant supports the Fund Administration Unit of the OSCE Mission to Moldova in daily transport operations, fleet management and logistical support. Reporting to the National Procurement and Materials Management Officer, the incumbent ensures safe, efficient and timely transport services for mission activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day transport operations, assign vehicles, and manage mission drivers.
• Maintain operational readiness of the vehicle fleet through inspections, maintenance, repairs and seasonal preparation.
• Administer fleet documentation, including registration, insurance, de‑registration and electronic records.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, mileage, fuel consumption and incidents; prepare related reports.
• Support implementation of OSCE transport policies, safety requirements and national regulations, including driver training and accident handling.
• Contribute to fleet planning, budgeting, procurement of vehicles, fuel, spare parts and related services.
• Provide logistical support for mission activities and liaise with service providers, authorities and internal units.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education; valid driving licence (categories B and C).
• Minimum four years of experience in transportation, logistics or fleet management (or a relevant university degree substituting up to two years of experience).
• Good spoken and written English; knowledge of Romanian and Russian.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and gender‑sensitivity.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and handle 4x4 vehicles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Practical experience with electronic fleet management systems.
• Ability to analyse operational data and maintain accurate records.
