Senior Software Development Engineer

About the role

US Software Solutions is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to own and evolve critical systems for its utility‑focused digital platform. You will act as both architect and reviewer, guiding the design, implementation and production behavior of complex services while leveraging AI‑assisted tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end architecture, data models, APIs and delivery pipelines for assigned systems.
• Write precise specifications that can be implemented without follow‑up questions.
• Critically review large volumes of code and take ownership of the final product.
• Handle deep technical challenges such as query performance, spatial data, concurrency and frontend rendering on tablet devices.
• Develop and maintain map‑based features that remain responsive in the field.
• Maintain shared internal libraries/SDKs as versioned products for other teams.
• Plan and execute live database migrations on large schemas.
• Set engineering standards for testing, code quality and documentation.
• Mentor mid‑level engineers and collaborate directly with product and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a TypeScript‑first stack.
• Strong expertise in React, Next.js and Node.js.
• Deep SQL knowledge, able to write complex queries and diagnose performance issues.
• Production experience with an ORM on large schemas, including live migrations.
• Solid grounding in OOP, design patterns and relational database design.
• Experience maintaining shared packages/SDKs and handling breaking changes.
• Comfortable working with containers, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven architectural judgment and ability to articulate design decisions.
• Fluent Russian for engineering collaboration and professional English for documentation.
