Senior PHP Engineer (Drupal)

About the role

Avenga is seeking a Senior PHP Engineer with deep Drupal expertise to join a global platform focused on market engagement and digital innovation. You will help set standards, establish guidelines, and share best practices to foster continuous learning and development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable, high‑performing solutions using Drupal 11.
• Maintain and extend core, contributed, and custom Drupal modules to meet business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and support the creation of innovative, efficient solutions.
• Optimize web applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and support backlog refinement and planning.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a PHP Engineer.
• Strong experience with Drupal 11, Drupal Core, and both contributed and custom modules.
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑site architecture and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of SDLC processes and web application development.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
