Senior Auditor – Financial Services (Moldova Team)

About the role

KPMG Romania and Moldova is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its Moldova Audit Team, focusing on the financial services sector. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit engagements for Romanian and international clients while supporting the team’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit engagements independently, ensuring compliance with Romanian GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead project teams, coordinate tasks, and manage timelines for both local and cross‑border clients.
• Coach and develop junior staff through on‑the‑job training and performance feedback.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client representatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, or related fields with an accounting focus.
• 2‑5 years of professional experience as a financial auditor in an audit firm, preferably within commercial or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Romanian GAAP, IFRS and the Romanian business environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Romanian.
• Self‑motivated, analytical, and able to produce quality work in a dynamic environment.
