Project Manager – SDG Finance

About the role

Within the present assignment, the Project Manager will support the effective administrative, operational and financial management of the BIOFIN project, including planning, contracting, monitoring, reporting and coordination of project implementation. Substantive and technical leadership for biodiversity policy and biodiversity finance will be provided by the Climate Change, Environment and Energy Cluster and the relevant Green Finance Specialist(s).

Key responsibilities

• Support the effective administrative, operational and financial management of the BIOFIN project, covering planning, contracting, monitoring, reporting and coordination of implementation.
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Finance, State Tax Service and line ministries to apply the national Spending Review Methodology and strengthen analytical capacity.
• Facilitate the Tax for SDGs initiative by supporting analysis of tax policy options, health‑related and environmental taxation, and assessment of fiscal and distributional implications.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Moldova’s National Biodiversity Finance Plan in collaboration with the Climate Change, Environment and Energy Cluster and Green Finance Specialists.
