Project Associate – Climate Adaptation Project

About the role

The Project Associate will support the delivery of a four‑year climate‑adaptation project in Moldova, aimed at strengthening hydro‑meteorological monitoring, early‑warning systems and integrated water‑resources management across five pilot watersheds.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake administrative, logistical, travel, procurement, financial and asset‑management tasks in full compliance with UNDP rules, regulations and policies.
• Provide support to procure goods and services required by the project, coordinating with relevant staff.
• Assist in the implementation of hydro‑meteorological monitoring network upgrades and flash‑flood forecasting systems.
• Support the development of methodologies, protocols and standards for safe operation of hydro‑technical infrastructure.
• Facilitate coordination with national and local authorities, including the Ministry of Environment, Agency “Apele Moldovei” and State Hydro‑meteorological Service.
