Platform Engineer (GCP) – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers AI‑driven mainframe modernization projects on Google Cloud Platform. You will work remotely with global engineering pods, ensuring that Java, Go, or .NET applications run reliably at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate platform infrastructure supporting application modernization on GCP.
• Create and manage data pipelines and analytics solutions using BigQuery.
• Provide reliability, scalability, and best‑practice guidance to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architects and distributed engineers in a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of platform engineering experience on Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven track record modernizing legacy or mainframe‑class systems into Java, Go, or .NET.
• Experience with data architecture on GCP, including BigQuery and data pipelines.
• Background in consulting or professional services with client‑facing project delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
