M&E Data Collection Consultant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Data Collection Consultant to support its Moldova mission. The consultant will gather beneficiary feedback through structured interviews and questionnaires, ensuring high‑quality data that informs program effectiveness and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Attend training sessions on IOM’s data collection protocols and ethical standards.
• Conduct Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) and Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) with beneficiaries.
• Administer questionnaires accurately and collect observational data as required.
• Use digital tools for real‑time data entry and ensure prompt submission of collected information.
• Maintain ethical conduct, obtain informed consent, and report any urgent cases to supervisors.
• Travel within Moldova when necessary to reach target communities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience conducting surveys, interviews, or similar data collection activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Required skills

• Experience with CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing).
• Experience with CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing).
• Proficiency in using digital data collection tools (e.g., tablets, mobile apps).
