Java Developer (RPA Sphere)

About the role

A client of Coherent Solutions, a market leader in contact center robotic process automation (RPA), is hiring a Java developer. The client's patented platform automates manual management processes in contact centers, powering over 1 billion automated actions annually. Coherent Solutions is building cross-functional teams to develop new functionality on the client's platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, test and maintain backend components and services with Java and Spring Boot, supported by senior team members.
• Work with Senior Developers and Team Leads to understand technical designs and turn user stories into implementable tasks.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with correctness, maintainability and appropriate performance.
• Write and maintain unit tests and contribute to integration testing.
• Use Git for version control, following branching strategies, creating pull requests and responding to code review feedback.
• Fix bugs, investigate performance issues and improve logging to keep applications reliable and responsive.
• Help the Sustaining Engineering team troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Take part in CI/CD, ensuring builds pass, tests run and deployments follow procedure.
• Join retrospectives and share lessons learned to improve processes and code.

Required profile

• 1 year of experience as a Java developer.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with RESTful concepts and HTTP fundamentals.
• Introductory knowledge of database concepts, preferably MySQL.
• Foundational understanding of software engineering, including design patterns and multithreading.
• Interest in SaaS products and enterprise software architecture.
• Willingness to learn NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with one cloud platform or service; basic understanding of microservices, with practical experience preferred.
• Upper-intermediate English or higher.
