Financial Controller – Group Companies (Moldova)

About the role

Summa is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee financial control, budgeting, reporting and operational performance across its diverse portfolio of hotels, shopping malls, office buildings, healthcare facilities and construction projects in Moldova. The role supports senior management in maintaining financial discipline, improving efficiency and driving overall business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations of all Group companies in Moldova, including budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and monthly reporting.
• Review management accounts, analyse variances, monitor OPEX and CAPEX, and prepare profitability and project‑level analyses.
• Coordinate financial reporting between local entities and the Head Office, and support shareholder reports and management presentations.
• Manage banking relationships, loans, guarantees and financing requirements.
• Monitor construction budgets, contracts, IPCs, variation orders and payment certificates; review contractor invoices and procurement documents.
• Control project cost allocation, approve expenditures and track project financing and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Track financial and operational performance of hotels, shopping malls, office buildings, healthcare and development projects, including occupancy, lease performance and turnover.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in controlling, finance or financial reporting; Big‑Four experience preferred.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, real‑estate, healthcare or construction sectors, or in multi‑company group structures.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Fluent English; Romanian and Russian are a plus.
• Based in Moldova and available for occasional business travel.
