Financial & Business Controller

About the role

Ecofinance, a fast‑growing fintech within the Dyninno Group, is seeking a Financial & Business Controller for its Moldovan market. You will combine analytical rigor with a commercial mindset to drive performance monitoring, reporting and strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor financial and operational performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support effective financial controls.
• Perform variance analysis against budgets and targets, pinpoint root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee internal financial controls, audit activities and follow‑up on identified gaps.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports, dashboards and ad‑hoc analyses for senior leadership and shareholders.
• Develop and track financial and operational KPIs, providing insights for business decisions.
• Identify cost‑optimization and efficiency opportunities, improving reporting and controlling processes.
• Contribute to group‑level budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and scenario analysis.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, business control, management reporting or internal audit.
• Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, non‑bank lending, leasing or audit is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field; professional certifications (ACCA, CFA, CIMA, CIA) are a plus.
• Fluency in Romanian and English required; Russian is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
• Power BI or other BI tools for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., 1C, SAGE or similar) and financial reporting tools.
