Data Engineer / Apache Airflow Specialist

About the role

Intetics Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Apache Airflow to join its fully remote team. The role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing large‑scale ETL pipelines, data indexing, and performance tuning across multiple data stores.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex Airflow DAGs for ETL and data‑processing workflows.
• Write and optimize Python scripts for data extraction, transformation and loading, integrating with Flask APIs when required.
• Configure and tune Elasticsearch indexing pipelines for fast search and retrieval.
• Manage Unix/Linux automation scripts for monitoring and operational tasks.
• Administer Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high performance for large data volumes.
• Implement and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment stages.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to ensure scalability, reliability and data quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience building Airflow DAGs.
• At least 5 years of Python development, preferably with ETL focus.
• 3 years of experience with Elasticsearch, Unix/Linux scripting, and Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience with GitLab pipelines.
• Advanced English proficiency and a technical degree.
