Data Architect – GCP & BigQuery (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Data Architect to design and implement GCP‑based data solutions that support AI‑driven mainframe modernization projects. The role focuses on building BigQuery data pipelines and analytics layers for legacy systems being re‑engineered in Java, Go or .NET, while working directly with client stakeholders in a fully remote consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data architecture on Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
• Define and implement data flows that enable application modernization and re‑platforming of legacy systems.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams and client stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives.
• Support the creation of AI‑enabled analytics that operate at scale.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically with GCP.
• Proven background in consulting or professional services with client‑facing project delivery.
• Experience modernizing legacy or mainframe‑class applications using Java, Go or .NET.
• Familiarity with AI engineering practices such as harness engineering or spec‑driven design.
• Strong requirements‑gathering and test‑driven design capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
