Business Development & Grants Manager

About the role

The Business Development & Grants Manager will lead resource mobilisation for People in Need’s Moldova Country Programme. Working closely with programme, grants and partnership teams, the role will identify donor opportunities, develop high‑quality concept notes and proposals, and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective funders.

Key responsibilities

• Map and pursue funding opportunities aligned with the programme’s strategic direction.
• Co‑create concept notes, pitches and complex multi‑stakeholder proposals in collaboration with programme leads and HQ technical advisors.
• Ensure all funding documents reflect dignified, non‑paternalistic narratives and respect local knowledge.
• Maintain donor communication, produce high‑quality reports and manage relationships with key donors such as the Czech Embassy, Czech Development Agency, EU Delegation, GCF, U.S. Government donors, FCDO and Swiss Cooperation.
• Support the development of long‑term donor strategies and contribute to the shift from emergency to development assistance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, grants management or resource mobilisation within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong understanding of donor landscapes, especially European and international donors.
• Excellent written communication skills with ability to craft compelling, context‑sensitive proposals.
• Ability to work collaboratively across programme, technical and partnership teams.
