Ukrainian QA Lead (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position is for a Ukrainian Quality Assurance Lead (QAL) who will oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across AI training projects. You will review AI‑generated Ukrainian content, evaluate output against detailed rubrics, and provide precise written feedback to ensure high‑quality training data.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Ukrainian items, identify quality issues, and provide feedback through Discord direct messages.
• Update trainers and QAs on new guidelines, project changes, and workflow updates.
• Answer trainer/QA questions about wording, grammar, cultural context, and edge cases.
• Activate inactive contributors by reaching out, tracking follow‑ups, and flagging availability problems.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, and onboarding materials.
• Conduct onboarding and training calls to explain expectations, rubrics, and Ukrainian‑specific style requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of Ukrainian language guidelines across the team.
• Identify recurring quality gaps, propose workflow improvements, and help build scalable QA processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ukrainian, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Ukrainian with strong reading and writing skills.
• Excellent command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Ukrainian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related workflows.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is strongly preferred.
