Technical Architect – Java & AWS (Moldova)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of high‑performance software solutions in Moldova. The role combines strategic alignment with business goals, hands‑on development, and mentorship of engineering teams, leveraging Java, Kotlin and AWS technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align solution architecture with business strategy and product objectives.
• Design technical architecture covering applications, security, and infrastructure, and validate feasibility with stakeholders.
• Lead architectural decision‑making, present alternatives, and set non‑functional requirements.
• Review and optimise existing codebases for quality, performance and maintainability.
• Establish tech stack, standards, best practices and technical guidelines.
• Conduct research, proofs of concept and support DevSecOps and CI/CD initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a technical architect or senior technical leadership role.
• Hands‑on expertise across backend, frontend and cloud infrastructure, preferably with Java/Kotlin and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Domain‑Driven Design, SOLID principles, Hexagonal, Clean and Modular architectures.
• Proven ability to guide engineering teams, influence decisions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
