Senior Software Engineer (Node.js & AWS)

About the role

3Pillar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high‑impact backend solutions. You will work with cutting‑edge serverless technologies to build scalable services that power innovative projects across urban living, media, and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve data‑integrity issues using SQL, DynamoDB and RDS logs.
• Communicate project status and recommendations to client stakeholders.
• Write efficient, performant, testable, scalable and secure code for client applications.
• Participate in planning, estimation and agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Gather requirements, present developed features and ensure delivery meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and managers to anticipate user pain points and iterate on solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering communities of practice.
• Drive end‑to‑end project delivery from concept through deployment within defined architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs with Node.js.
• Hands‑on expertise with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB or RDS.
• Strong ability to optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Experience guiding junior engineers and fostering a learning culture.
• Comfortable performing root‑cause analysis on data errors and fixing both data and code.
