Senior Python Engineer – AI Backend

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance backend services for AI‑driven platforms. You will work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to build scalable APIs, real‑time event pipelines, and intelligent automation components.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain async Python services (Python 3.10+) using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Create and optimise HTTP APIs, including REST endpoints and Server‑Sent Events.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
• Integrate Large Language Model features via OpenAI or comparable APIs.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and performant queries.
• Containerise applications with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes clusters.
• Contribute to event‑driven architectures using Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Write unit and integration tests with pytest and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience with Python (3.10+) and async programming.
• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful and streaming APIs.
• Solid understanding of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT).
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs into production systems.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
