Senior Java Developer

About the role

Join Cegeka’s international team to build modern, cloud‑native applications for a leading automotive customer. You will work on a mature product platform based on microservices, creating new features from scratch and collaborating with experts across several European countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java backend services and micro‑services.
• Implement new features based on functional specifications and solution architecture.
• Contribute to cloud‑native development using AWS services and containerised environments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments and support release processes.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code following best‑practice standards.
• Perform automated testing and support quality‑assurance activities.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts and international stakeholders in an Agile setting.
• Share knowledge and help continuously improve team processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise with Java 21 and modern backend practices.
• Solid knowledge of the Spring ecosystem (Boot, Data JPA, MVC, Security).
• Hands‑on experience designing micro‑services and REST APIs.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services, containers and databases.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Professional proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
