Senior AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join an innovative project that transforms complex engineering documentation into structured knowledge and simulation‑ready models. The role combines large language models, knowledge graphs and computer vision to turn unstructured data such as P&IDs and technical specifications into actionable system representations.

Key responsibilities

• Convert system descriptions (e.g., P&IDs, manufacturer specifications) into structured Knowledge Graphs.
• Enhance KG generation by integrating real‑time system data and additional sources.
• Build KG‑to‑model mapping logic to automatically generate initial 1D simulation models (e.g., Amesim).
• Design pipelines using LLMs, VLMs and ML/DL models for document understanding.
• Develop backend services and APIs with Python (FastAPI) and create demo/admin interfaces using Streamlit or React.
• Ensure scalability, observability and performance of AI workflows while collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Python.
• Hands‑on work with LLMs and AI frameworks such as LangChain and HuggingFace.
• Experience building Knowledge Graphs and using graph databases like Neo4j.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone, Vertex AI) and workflow orchestration tools (Temporal, Celery).
• Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning and computer‑vision pipelines.
• Proficiency with Docker, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines and GCP (Cloud Run).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.
