Science-to-Business Expert – Short Term Contract

About the role

Technovator is seeking a Science-to-Business Expert on a short‑term contract to turn scientific and technological ideas into viable commercial opportunities. The position is based in Chișinău with the possibility of partial remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Assess research and innovation projects for commercial potential.
• Map market needs and develop business cases and value propositions.
• Engage with scientists, startups, and corporate stakeholders to facilitate meetings and presentations.
• Support the design of partnership models and pilot initiatives.
• Document findings, produce concise reports, and ensure knowledge transfer to the Technovator team.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to evaluate scientific projects and market data.
• Clear communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Sales and negotiation experience to pitch innovation solutions.
• Customer‑service orientation to build and maintain partner relationships.
• Business‑development experience to identify collaboration opportunities and structure partnerships.
• Background in tech transfer, innovation management, consulting, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with innovation ecosystems, startups, or research institutions; digital/tech sector experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, technology, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage short‑term timelines, and thrive in a multicultural, community‑focused environment.
