Russian QA Lead (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This remote, hourly contractor position is for a Russian Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Russian AI training projects. You will review AI‑generated Russian content, evaluate output against detailed rubrics, and provide precise written feedback to ensure high‑quality training data.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Russian items, identify quality issues, and provide feedback through Discord.
• Update trainers and QAs on new guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations.
• Answer trainer/QA questions about Russian wording, grammar, cultural context, and edge cases.
• Activate inactive contributors via direct messages and track follow‑ups.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, and onboarding materials.
• Conduct onboarding and training calls to explain workflows, rubrics, and Russian‑specific style requirements.
• Identify recurring quality gaps, propose workflow improvements, and help build scalable QA processes.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native Russian proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong English proficiency for following guidelines and communicating feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Russian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, or related language‑review workflows.
• Deep knowledge of Russian grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, and cultural nuances.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Discord for communication and feedback.
• Experience using Google Sheets and Google Docs for tracking and documentation.
• Familiarity with trackers, dashboards, and project‑management systems.
