Partnerships Officer (UN Resident Coordination)

About the role

The Partnerships Officer supports the UN Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team in developing and managing strategic partnerships that advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Moldova. Working within the United Nations Resident Coordination Office, the role bridges UN entities, government, private sector, civil society and other non‑traditional partners to mobilize resources and drive joint initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the UN Partnership Strategy, coordinating with UNCT and external stakeholders to align with the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Lead joint resource mobilisation efforts, manage pooled funds, and support the design of joint programmes that attract traditional and innovative financing sources.
• Provide advice on financing mechanisms for SDG implementation, prepare briefing papers, and engage partners in developing fiscal space for development.
• Promote knowledge management and capacity development by researching best practices, maintaining a donor repository, and collaborating with data analysts and communications officers on monitoring and reporting.
