Lead Data Analyst

About the role

Ruby Labs is hiring an experienced Lead Data Analyst to join our fast‑paced, high‑ownership environment. You will drive analytics across subscription products and web funnels, partnering with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to improve conversion, retention, and LTV while ensuring trusted tracking, strong data models, and decision‑ready reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to define KPIs, success metrics, and decision criteria.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reporting (e.g., Product Reports, Marketing Performance Reports) with clarity and trust.
• Deliver full‑funnel analysis, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements or A/B test ideas.
• Lead user behavior analysis using event data, monitor key metrics and anomalies, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Own and maintain event taxonomy, validate implementation, and ensure business logic alignment.
• Design and build robust, reusable SQL data models with performance‑mindful queries.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level analysts in SQL, validation, funnel/cohort analysis, and experimentation quality.

Required profile

• Degree in an analytical field (Mathematics, Data Science, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with end‑to‑end analysis ownership.
• Experience in subscription business and acquisition‑driven web funnels.
• Strong product analytics background: funnels, cohorts, retention, LTV, churn, segmentation.
• Hands‑on experience designing, running, and validating A/B tests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
