Junior NOC Engineer

About the role

ITcare is looking for recent graduates or engineers with up to a year of experience to join its NOC team in Chișinău. You will work side‑by‑side with senior engineers, monitoring real production networks from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor routers, switches, servers and security systems using Zabbix and Grafana.
• Triage alarms, create clear trouble tickets and perform first‑line fixes such as interface resets and basic configuration checks.
• Maintain runbooks, network diagrams and ticket updates to keep the team synchronized.
• Participate in small projects with senior engineers, including new monitoring checks, simple automation scripts and documentation clean‑ups.
• Rotate through 8‑hour shifts to provide round‑the‑clock coverage for customers.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of the OSI model, Ethernet, IP, subnets, VLANs, ARP and routing fundamentals (OSPF/BGP).
• Comfortable with Linux command line tools such as ping, traceroute and SSH.
• Hands‑on experience with network gear (Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik) from labs, university projects or internships.
• Technical English at A2/B1 level or higher and the habit of writing concise ticket notes.
• Curiosity, reliability and a proactive attitude to ask questions.
