About the role

Casa del Tabaco, a leading tobacco distributor in Moldova, is looking for a Finance Director to lead and automate its internal financial processes. The role focuses on making daily operations simpler, more efficient, and better aligned with the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop long‑term financial strategy, annual budgets, and revenue‑expense plans.
• Oversee management accounting to ensure transparent internal reporting.
• Analyze project profitability, monitor cash gaps, and control costs against budgets.
• Optimize cash flow by managing settlements with clients, suppliers, banks, and creditors.
• Identify and secure financing sources, liaise with investors for business expansion.
• Mitigate financial, tax, and currency risks, including exchange‑rate management.
• Conduct margin analysis for stores, product categories, brands, and SKUs (ABC/XYZ analysis).
• Track and control like‑for‑like (LFL) performance indicators.

Required profile

• Higher education in economics, finance or accounting.
• Deep knowledge of 1C and experience automating financial processes.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and understanding of core business functions.
• Experience in inventory, cost analysis and pricing, preferably in a distribution environment.
• Proven track record in budgeting, financial reporting, cash‑flow management and financial control.
• Familiarity with Moldovan financial, accounting and tax legislation.
• Strong leadership, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
