Deputy Manager – EU Funds

About the role

PWC Moldova is expanding its Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) team focused on State Aid and EU Funds assurance. As a Deputy Manager you will lead audit assignments across Europe, working directly with senior managers and directors while travelling to client sites as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments on thematic areas funded by the European Union or Romanian/Moldovan authorities.
• Maintain daily communication with clients and auditees.
• Supervise audit field work, develop risk‑based audit strategies and set up audit programmes.
• Collaborate with cross‑border teams in different time zones using digital audit tools.
• Monitor deadlines and deliverables to ensure projects run on time and efficiently.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance or Accountancy.
• Master’s degree in Economics or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in financial audit, consultancy or accounting services.
• Audit certification in progress is a plus.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an asset.
