Accountant – Fixed‑Term Maternity Cover (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join our finance team on a fixed‑term basis, covering a nine‑month maternity leave. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, Audit and Tax, you will ensure day‑to‑day accounting runs smoothly while working fully remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records in Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
• Reconcile data across IT systems, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Process payroll in compliance with tax and labour regulations and review VAT returns prepared by an outsourced firm.
• Close the accounts on schedule, prepare and review financial statements, and support the annual audit process.
• Participate in automation projects and liaise with auditors, tax advisors and other service providers.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting positions, with solid knowledge of IFRS and EU taxation.
• ACCA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• Fluent English and strong IT proficiency (Google products, Excel).
