M&E Data Collection Consultant

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Information Management Unit of IOM Moldova seeks a Data Collection Consultant to support programme divisions by gathering high‑quality feedback from beneficiaries. The role involves conducting telephone and face‑to‑face interviews, administering questionnaires, and ensuring ethical standards throughout the data‑collection process.

Key responsibilities

• Attend mandatory training sessions on data‑collection protocols.
• Conduct CATI (computer‑assisted telephone interviewing) and CAPI (computer‑assisted personal interviewing) surveys.
• Administer questionnaires accurately and collect observational data in the field.
• Use digital tools to record responses and submit data promptly.
• Maintain ethical conduct, obtaining informed consent for every interview.
• Report any issues or urgent cases to supervisors for referral.
• Travel to interview sites as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of experience performing similar data‑collection tasks.
• Experience with data‑collection methods and building key‑informant networks.
• Familiarity with paper‑based and digital questionnaires.

Required skills

• CATI (computer‑assisted telephone interviewing).
• CAPI (computer‑assisted personal interviewing).
• Digital data‑collection tools.
